It turns out that differently determined Patra is a Patras name what indeed more sounds around Greek. Apart from very Bay of Patraska, is located also on the Corinthian Bay. It is extremely essential centre of the trade and the business in entire Greece. Everything here almost is wearing the name of St. Andrew. Patra with city of the life

On very beginning of our adventure I would like for you generally speaking a bit to characterize this city under the angle of situating, history and so on. Among others Patra is the third city of Greece in terms of the size, and at the same time biggest on the Peloponnese. Moreover it is an Achaia capital city in Western Greece. It lies on the Bay Patraska and there a Greek seaport the second largest is located, right after Pireus.

Patra ferry services exists among others with the Ionian islands and Italians. It is a perfect space for everyone extremely monumental St Andrew’s cathedral basilica. To the attention is also deserving the Patraski University of St. Andrew where at the moment is studying moreover twenty four thousands of students on twenty two departments. Also seeing the Urban Apollon Theatre which is an unusual experience with specific copy Milan is merging the La.

This city alone in itself is simply unusual. It attracts with numerous tourist attractions, like between different historical objects, but at the same time with restaurants which there are, hotels, taverns and so on.

Among others Patra is famous for a colourful street parade which ceremonially is finishing the carnival. Next in the summer it is attracting everyone with ancient theatre performances. It is unusual that a medieval Byzantine castle is situated on the upper, so-called old town around about of the sixth age. Close of it next up till today an Odeon, a stadium and an aqueduct behaved, also worth watching. Moreover it is possible to find here numerous monuments from consecutive centuries, masters, history of this city. I am inviting cordially for the travel for Patra with me. Personally I was there at the moment but one time but this city enraptured me.
